Early Work
Examples of Robert Richardson’s Early University Projects
Outdoor seating which can be easily dismantled for storage during the wintertime.
Made with Spruce wood from felled trees from the Peak District. The pegs can be knocked out to allow the seat to be dismantled, and again easily assembled when required.
Concept models for chairs.
The chairs would be manufactured from curved plywood, then treated with laquer or coloured paint.
Table Lamp. The form evolved from the unusual brief which started out with a box of Fisherman’s Friends
Robert took the form of the box, scaled the size up, which allowed him to experiment cutting the form to create more interesting forms. The main lamp is made from Maranti wood, and the lightshade from aluminium.
