Robert Richardson has been selected by the TwoFour Production company, and then by Philippe Starck himself to be a contestant on the BBC2 television program ‘Design For Life’ set in Paris.

The program involves initially 12 selected designers, who are set design related tasks by Philippe Starck to challenge the designers while being filmed.  Philippe Starck will personally whittle the class down to one designer who will win the opportunity of working with Philippe Starck on a 6 month placement.

The program is due to be aired on BBC2 in the spring 2009.

Robert Richardson was pleased to see that his ‘Outdoor Seating to Disperse Rainwater’ Design was featured in the July 08 edition of the FX Design Magazine.

The article ‘Young Guns’ relates to selected designs from recent graduates at the New Designers Exhibition at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London in September 2008.

Robert Richardson’s design was exhibited at the New Designers exhibtion and received a promising amount of interest form potential employers, designers and visiting students.
